Here is my completed white gown. Unfortunately the bride to be was not happy with it and is returning it. I think it is beautiful, but it is her special day and she has to be happy with it.
Hopefully I can sell it to someone else. It is a bit disheartening, but part of making wedding gowns I supposed. This is the first time I've had a return for the reason of not liking the dress so that makes it a bit depressing.
So sorry Dawn! That really sucks. I think it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think it's absolutely gorgeous, Dawn. I'm sure it will be perfect for another lucky bride (with better taste).
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear the bride didn't like the dress. Sometimes a dress looks absolutely fabulous on a hanger, or even a picture with a model wearing it. Then there are those unexpected moments when we try on that same gorgeous dress we previously wanted, and it looks terrible on our bodies. It might be the fit or style are wrong for our shapes. It's really hard to tell how a dress will look on our bodies until the moment of truth. Don't take it personally that the bride didn't like the dress. The dress is quite lovely, so it has to do some other reason.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry too to hear the bride did not like the dress. For what its worth its a favourite of your creations, I think it is gorgeous (although still drooling over the Vogue lace!).
ReplyDeleteI think LNT is probably right that the dress didn't feel right on or suit the bride they way she hoped, but it is one thing to decide in a wedding dress shop that a gown doesn't suit you and quite another to have someone make you a dress and then change your mind!
I hope it finds a loving new owner, I'm sure it will!
Thanks guys, this makes me feel a little bit better.
ReplyDeleteOh man, that is no fun! It's beautiful though!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks for visiting my blog so that I could find yours!
